Glossary of Terms

This glossary is an attempt to create a dynamic list of key terms that will be used in reference to our project work and the broad world of interaction design. As an ongoing repository of current terminology, students are expected to update and add to this database as a valuable contribution to the class community. Some things to think about when adding to this page:
  • The brief definition and the 3 examples should relate to interactivity design processes and principles (if you are not sure, ask your instructor)
  • no reserving of terms... first come first serve (after week 3, terms will then be edited and improved upon by all of us)
  • as in all academic work, ideas and sources not your own original work must be cited accurately according MLA or APA citation standards
  • wikipedia is okay to start with but it is not a place to stop...avoid using as a source
  • check through the bibliography in the class description for sources to help in understanding these terms...if you have difficulty, talk to your instructors
